Nominal Ledger Cost Centres and Departments
The Nominal Ledger can use both Costs Centres and Departments allowing analysis of your finances to a high degree of detail.
Profit and Loss or Balance sheets can be displayed across for single costs centres or departments, or across ranges of costs centres and departments enabling the user to report the relevant information quickly and accurately.
Process Transactions quickly and efficiently
Create Journal templates for recording recurring transactions and specify the date for the journal to be ran. The prepayment option allows you to cater for items that have been paid in advance, such as insurance. Accruals can be configured and automated to cater for anything you pay in arrears, such as electricity bills. You can also place transactions on hold with the batch posting facility.
Budgetary Control to Monitor Performance
Annual, Monthly, Profiled and Group Budgets can be assigned against Nominal Codes with up to 5 years of historical budgets.
A key strength of Sage MMS is its advanced budgetary control plus its ability to analyse the performance of cost centres and departments within your business. Analysis of budgets versus actuals can be viewed graphically, with the option of displaying up to five years of historical data, and the coming year’s budgets. By drilling down to the individual transactions you can easily see the detail behind those trends. Support is also provided for the consolidation of multiple companies, including those with different operating currencies.
VAT Returns made simple
The screen actually replicates a printed VAT return. Analyse the figures produced using the drill-down facility.
Consolidation
If you need to report on different companies within your organisation, you can merge Nominal Ledger data from separate companies for financial reporting. This includes companies operating in different currencies as the software converts values to the base currency of the parent company.
