Sage 200 Stock Control
Whatever your market and whatever your size, whether your needs are simple or complex, Sage 200 provides a complete inventory and warehouse management solution. With Sage 200 you can optimise stock levels, keep costs to a minimum and satisfy the needs of your customers - all thanks to the Sage 200 Stock Control module.
Key Features and Benefits
Easily Access Stock Record Details
Sage 200 has an intuitive interface that allows you to call up the full details of an item quickly and easily. Thanks to Sage 200 you can view a whole range of different data in an instant - supplier details, stock levels, stock location and stock history.
By understanding where your products came from, where they are now, when they were sold and at what price, with Sage 200 you always know exactly how you arrived at your current stock levels. And, in Sage 200, all can be viewed either as a summary or drilled down to transactional level.
Serial Number Controlled Stock Items
Sage 200 offers enormous flexibility when it comes to serial numbers. You can decide whether serial numbers are unique or auto-generated and whether they are entered when the goods are received. With Sage 200, serials numbered items can be specified on a picking list or defined during the pick and pack process.
Sage 200 also lets you include Sell By and Use By dates if required, with a shelf life expressed as a number of days. Additionally, each item can store up to 15 other pieces of information from inspector references to QA standards.
Batch Number Controlled Stock Items
Batch numbers are another way that Sage 200 makes it easier for you to control stock items. Like serial numbers, Sage 200 gives you full flexibility with these. Sage 200 lets you specify when batch numbers are specified, whether items for sale must be taken from the same batch, and also set Sell By and Use By dates.
Unlimited Suppliers for Stock Items
How often are customers kept waiting simply because of an interruption to the supply chain? With Sage 200, you can specify unlimited alternative suppliers for each stock item, with full details including price history, lead time, part reference and purchase history.
Sage 200 makes it easy to check a last price against each supplier and also record a list price - with Sage 200 either price can be used when raising purchase orders.
Units of Measure
Sage 200 also makes it simple for you to buy, store and sell the same stock items in different quantities. For example, you could buy tiles by the pallet, store by the box and sell by the square metre.
Inactive Stock Items
With Sage 200, there is no risk of ordering an inactive item or losing its order history. Once Sage 200 flags an item as inactive, it cannot be ordered but it still remains on the Sage 200 system complete with full history.
Internally-issued Goods
Sage 200 enables you to monitor stock issued internally to individual areas of your business (as opposed to stock issued to departments defined in the Sage 200 Nominal Ledger). Sage 200 also gives you the option to specify whether a stock item is available to sales orders to help control items which are only used internally.
Stock Taking Procedure
With Sage 200 you can check that your computer stock levels agree with your physical stocks. You can produce reports and make adjustments to iron out any anomalies. And because cyclical stock takes are supported by Sage 200, you can carry out scheduling counts for individual items and other tasks with ease.
Manage Stock in Multiple Locations / Warehouses
As your business grows, so does the number of warehouses and other stock locations. Sage 200 helps you manage stock across your entire organisation including multiple warehouses with different addresses.
Each location can be operated independently in terms of replenishment, sales, reporting and stock takes. Plus, with Sage 200, you can put a block on sales from individual stock locations - for example, a bonded warehouse - for even greater stock control.
Landed Costs
With more and more stock being imported from overseas, Sage 200 copes with extra costs such as customs duties. Each supplier can have different costs associated with them, per stock item, all of which are automatically utilised on a purchase order generated by Sage 200.
Streamline Sales and Purchase Orders
With huge levels of stock and a growing number of suppliers, it's vital to ensure that purchase orders are placed with the right supplier and at the right price. For this reason the Sage 200 Stock Control module links closely with Sage 200 Sales and Purchase Order Processing modules and the Sage 200 Price Book.
The Sage 200 Stock Control module also enables you to drill down from 'allocated' and 'on order' totals to linked sales and purchase orders to easily view which customer has been allocated a particular product.
Integrates With the Other Modules in the Sage 200 Suite
Every module within the Sage 200 Suite gives you the integration you want and the sophisticated business processes you need - all within the familiar, flexible Sage environment. The concept is simple - the Sage 200 Suite provides you with integrated software for every part of your business.
