- An updated version of the ACT.DATA.CREATION.DLL file. This will upgrade the DB Schema to prevent contacts that are not part of a Sync Set from being sent to the remote users.
- Also contains all items resolved in all prior Hotfixes.

- Synchronization appears to complete (you receive a "synchronization successful" message), but not all data is transferred.
Note: All installations of ACT! that are synchronizing (including the computer hosting the Publisher database) must apply the Hotfix. If you are synchronizing using either the Network or Internet Sync Services you must restart the service before you can successfully synchronize. Once you have applied the Hotfix you must synchronize twice. The first synchronization is to complete the last failed attempt, and the second will transfer all other changes from the last successful synchronization.
- Error message: "ACT! Schema Update Failed" with a path pointing to the update log during update process of your database.
This resulted when a contact record is created, by another user of a shared database, as you create a copy of the database or create a Remote database for synchronization. You will see this error on the copy or the Remote database. The database is now locked when you are creating a Remote database.
You can verify this by reviewing your update log. The error will list the location of this log file which can be opened with Microsoft® Notepad. Within the log file, you will see a statement similar to the following:
ALTER TABLE statement conflicted with COLUMN FOREIGN KEY constraint OPPORTUNITY_HISTORY_HISTORYID_FK'. The conflict occurred in database 'Angie_Bleier', table 'TBL_HISTORY', column 'HISTORYID'. setting Foreign Keys...
Note the highlighted section. Your update log may differ, but the conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY text is the relevant part.
- Error: "System.MemoryException" when importing either a text delimited file or ACT! database.
You attempted to import a text delimited file or contacts from another ACT! database when you receive the above error message. This has been resolved.
- All fields are now available to synchronize with your handheld device using the Data Mapping option in ACT! Link for Palm OS® 2006, ACT! Link for Pocket PC 2006, or ACT! for Palm OS®.
- More Notes or History entries are synchronized to your Handheld then are specified in ACT! Link for Palm OS® Configuration Setup
After applying the Hotfix you must set ACT! Link for Palm OS to overwrite your handheld to correct the number of Notes and Histories. Use the following steps:
- Click the Windows® Start button, point to All Programs (or Programs), point to ACT! Link for Palm OS, and then click ACT! Link for Palm 2006 Settings. The ACT! Link for Palm Configuration Setup - Select a Configuration Task panel appears.
- Click Select Contact Sync Action from the Manage Synchronization section. The ACT! Link for Palm Configuration Setup - Select Contact Sync Action dialog box appears.
- Enable the ACT! contacts will overwrite the Address Book option, and then click Next. The ACT! Link for Palm Configuration Setup - Select Activity Sync Action dialog box appears.
- Enable the ACT! Activities will overwrite the Data Book option, click Finish, and then close the ACT! Link for Palm Configuration Setup panel.
- HotSync.
You must ensure that your installation of ACT! is updated to version 8.0.2. (This Hotfix is only designed to work with those versions ( 8.0.2.81 or 8.0.2.82)) of ACT!.) Click the Help menu, and then click About ACT!. The About ACT! dialog box appears. The version number is located near the top.
