The Sage 200 Bill of Materials (BoM) module tracks your bill of materials process from start to finish. With the Sage 200 Bill of Materials you can break down the manufacturing operation into easy to access areas - materials, labour, machines, operations, reports and so on.

Reverse BOM Build– Errors in BOM’s can now be easily corrected with reverse BOM Build which allows users to dismantle BOM’s built in error.

BOM Workspace– All BOM information can now be viewed by users within a single workspace displaying information relevant to their individual role.

Sage 200 BoM Key Features and Benefits

Precise Costing- The Sage 200 Bill of Materials lets you build in detailed costs for each unit or build run. In addition, you can allocate a proportion of a fixed cost / operating overhead to a run, based on an average number of units per run.

When components change, Sage 200 can calculate the rolled-up costs automatically. And because you may have components that don't use the standard costing method, Sage 200 can re-calculate the rolled-up cost of the finished goods upon allocation.

Flexible Nominal Ledger Analysis- With the Sage 200 Bill of Materials, stock use can be summarised to a single line for each nominal account when posting to the Sage 200 Nominal Ledger. Or it can be split out to multiple lines by component. By summarising nominal postings, Sage 200 significantly reduces the volume of Nominal Ledger transactions, improving your performance.

Easily Manage Multiple Bills of Materials (BOM)- The Sage 200 Bill of Materials lets you store and use multiple versions of a BOM, one of which is ‘live’ at a given time. To prevent error, Sage 200 only allows one person to edit or change a BOM at any one time, storing a full change history for other users to refer to.

With the Sage 200 Bill of Materials, old BOMs can be marked as ‘Dead’ or ‘Obsolete’. Obsolete BOMs can be revived but not built from, and Dead BOMs can be permanently deleted if required.

Multiple Views of BOM Structures- As with all modules in the Sage 200 Suite, the Sage 200 Bill of Materials offers you enormous flexibility. For example, the Sage 200 Bill of Materials includes four views of BOMs. The tree view allows drill-down through all levels and branches of the BOM. The top level view shows only the first level of components below the finished item. The bottom level view shows only the end points of each of the BOM branches. Consolidated view shows rolled-up totals of all components used.

Flexible Build Options- The Sage 200 Bill of Materials is also very flexible when it comes to build options. Sage 200 can be configured to suit the way you work - to always build subassemblies, or always use from stock, or allow choice in each case. Picking lists can be produced at the time of allocation or separately.

Customised BOMs and ‘Specials’- The Sage 200 Bill of Materials makes it easy to change existing item quantities, replace individual items and add new ones. There's a 'Partial Build' feature for those occasions when you don't need to build in all your raw materials. In addition, the Sage 200 Bill of Materials can handle situations where finished goods are built without allocating raw materials first, for expedited builds.
