Sage 200 Business Intelligence

Sage 200 Business Intelligence forms a part of the Sage 200 Suite alongside other modules including, Financials and Commercials, and CRM. Sage 200 Business Intelligence takes data collated in everyday activities and transforms it into dynamic, actionable business acumen.

Gartner’s view of Business Intelligence:

“In the economic downturn there is a heightened need to make better, fact based decisions- BI is a vital competitive tool of increased importance in an environment where doing business more smartly, in order to maximise share of the reduced revenue in circulation, is a necessity.”

Sage 200 BI uses predefined data cubes enabling multi-angle views of data. The use of data cubes within Sage 200 BI allows organisations to quickly and easily:

  • Interrogate data
  • Identify trends
  • Investigate anomalies
  • Make informed strategic decisions

Furthermore, this Sage 200 module is easily accessible by everyone as it requires no technical knowledge and uses easy to understand terminology.

Features and Benefits of Sage 200 BI

Reporting and Analytics within Excel- Analyse your data quickly and effectively in a familiar environment. Sage 200 BI brings data into Microsoft Excel, allowing you to enhance the reports using standard excel formatting, such as calculations and macros. This functionality minimises the training required as the majority of users will already know how to use Excel.

Out-of-the-box Reports- Sage 200 Business Intelligence comes with pre-defined reports allowing the user to quickly analyse and understand financial information within their Sage 200 solution, e.g. profit and loss, worst paying customers and average sales. These reports save you time as they remove the need to create reports from scratch.

Report Wizard- With the report wizard you can change the layout of a report to meet your requirements, providing flexibility by enabling you to extract the information required, displayed in the way you like.

Drill Down- From each report in Sage 200 BI you can drill down through increasing levels of detail. For example, if you are looking at an overview for the current year you can drill down into a particular month and then at a daily level.

Conditional Formatting- Anomalies in your data can be colour coded based on your specified criteria, this enables you to spot exceptions within a report quickly and easily saving valuable time.

Faster, better informed decisions- Sage 200 BI allows quick access to Sage 200 data that is typically not available through Sage 200. The multi dimensional analysis allows you to view data from many angles e.g. sales by region, customer and month. The report fields can be changed in seconds providing quick and easy reporting analysis.

Reliable Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services- SQL Server Analysis Services is a market leading OLAP technology. Therefore, Sage 200 BI is built on a reliable and robust platform.
