Angela Genders of Natural Enhancement doesn't apply her cosmetic skills when it comes to lambasting poor service, though. "The support we had from our previous ACT! Supplier was horrendous!" she recalls, still angry at the memory. "We experienced the most awful service and problems you could ever imagine!!"
It sounds pretty bad, and although Angela is in the middle of her busiest period of the year she is happy to spare a few moments to sing the praises of DMC.
How bad could one company be?
Very bad. Angela and her team took up ACT! because, as she explains: "We wanted an extremely efficient business system for all the very many people and consultants we use, lots of whom work remotely."
Unfortunately the people who installed ACT! simply didn't do the job. "We wanted to organise our business, coordinate our diaries and get everything working together," she sighs. "And it simply wasn't happening. We had this potentially great CRM solution and it was just sitting there with the handbrake on! It was depressing and wasteful of our time and money."
Things were to get a lot worse... "The installers wouldn't or couldn't sort out issues with our network," she continues. "They were rude and sarcastic, and they almost turned us against the concept of CRM. However, after consideration we realised that it wasn't ACT!'s fault, it was theirs. They just wanted to sell us the system and get away."
DMC to the rescue
"We did a search to see who else might give us support," she explains. "We got onto DMC and they have been absolutely brilliant right from the start. In fact they've gone out of their way to help us, even doing things that weren't part of the contract to get our system up on its feet. They did things in hours that the previous mob said couldn't be done at all!"
Patience is a virtue
"Of course we still need ongoing telephone support," Angela laughs, "And again DMC shine. Their people are so patient with us which is important when you have people calling who aren't particularly IT literate. DMC are understanding, even when you ask them what might seem like very basic questions. They don't condescend, they just help."
"ACT! is now working the way it should," Angela happily confirms, "After all that time when we had it just sitting there and not working properly, it's finally doing the job it should be doing and really aiding our business. I can only say DMC have been fantastic!"
