Linex

Linex provides legal information to law firms, in-house lawyers, government agencies and international organisations.  As a user of Linex services, a customer receives a whole range of legal information including legal articles and reviews, information on training courses and transcripts and reports of a selection of recent cases, everything to keep lawyers up to speed in the legal world.  All services are email and web based.

Matthew Dickinson, MD of the company was faced with a challenge: his staff sit in London, Edinburgh, and even in Australia and Matthew himself travels and works a lot on the continent, using his laptop computer.  Using standard ACT! they constantly experienced synchronisation problems like duplication of data, lack of discipline when it came to updating records and Matthew never knew exactly where they stood in the sales cycle.

On the other hand, he needed something like ACT! as a sales management tool to trace his almost 4,000 leads, so when he phoned DMC and heard about ACT! for Web and its advantages, it was a done deal.  He switched his organisation to web based ACT! which now allows every user to access the sales data from anywhere in the world where there is a web browser.  All data is kept in one place, not on a number of individual PC's.  Data entry and updating occurs in real time and every user is always up to speed with information.

Matthew stresses that he is pleased with the speed and the search functions.  He was also impressed with the speed of everything being set up.
