Introducing Sage 50 ACT! 2008 and Sage ACT! 2008 Premium
The latest version of Sage ACT!, renamed Sage 50 for ACT! 2008, includes new ACT! Dashboards. The ACT! Dashboard provides users with a quick instant insight into their business in one single view through comprehensive, graphical representations including bar and pie charts of all key information in ACT!
The ACT! Dashboard can be set as the default start up view allowing users to see important information such as activity and opportunities requiring action for the day. From the view you can easily identify how you are tracking towards goals using benchmark and summary information.
There are six customisable components within the ACT! Dashboard providing:
- Activity information
- Schedule at a glance
- My Activities
- Opportunity Information
- Top ten opportunities
- Closed opportunities
This means that you can evaluate your day easily and prioritise what needs to be done quickly and in what order. You can also drill down in to each Dashboard component for more detail or take further action or activity as required.
The ACT! Dashboard in Sage 50 ACT! 2008 allows you to customise individual components or create new ones to best suit how you and your business works. Managers and Administrators have the ability to add or remove the components, change title or legends and utilise drag and drop functionality within the dashboard for easy customisation or creation of new dashboards.
Sage 50 ACT! 2008 Premium known as ACT! for Workgroups in previous versions has a similar dashboard with Managers having the ability to gauge the performance of team members and to set individual and team targets .
Other Enhancements and New Features in Sage 50 ACT! 2008
General
- List edit mode so you can now quickly edit Contact, Company and Group from lists views.
- Add document - Shortcuts to activity and histories without having to attach the whole document to control the database size.
Opportunities
- Multiple contacts per opportunity so that you are aware of every contact within a company that influences a sale.
- Opportunity List details allowing you to see all contracts and products associated to an opportunity without having to click and open the opportunity.
- Opportunity date Fields (Sage ACT! Premium only) enabling consistency and flexibility in tracking time sensitive customers.
Productivity
Administration and Data Security
- Company Security in a networked environment, improved data security by making any company private.
- Improved data security by limiting the access to any Group or Company record by team or teams of users
- Customer permissions for subscription lists so that managers and administrators can restrict users from requesting contacts outside their criteria
- Administrators can suspend database synchronisation from certain remotes from synchronising to the parent database to protect against unwanted deletions from the main database.
